Dear Momma

The start of a new school year feels like a fresh start, almost like a new year. The first day of school is filled with hopes for a successful year and growth for our kiddo(s). There's the anticipation of grades, schedules, deadlines, extracurricular activities, family routines, and overall family health and development. And, of course, we can't forget self-care. Frankly, it's a lot to manage!

As a mom, I know how heavy it can be, particularly if you aim to live intentionally rather than haphazardly. I find the idea of leaving life to chance unnerving and not okay.

Thankfully, we don't have to handle this alone but can invite the Lord along our journey. God partners with us in raising our children and is available to guide, comfort, give insight, and encourage us on this heartfelt journey. However, we must invite Him into our world, day-to-day, and even our moments. Don't shoulder the burden of all that comes with a new school year alone; allow Jesus to help carry the load.

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.

Matthew 11:28-30 (NIV)
